This is # 3 in our Supreme Court series with new and current cases. TheSupreme Court’s conservative majority is reshaping the American government. Now, more than ever, the Supreme Court demands our attention. While Congress dithers, the Court has empowered the Executive branch while diminishing the prestige and moral authority of the Judiciary. In this class, we will continue our critical review of the Roberts Court’s decisions and determine if the American experiment in self-government has a future.
Presenters will have a menu of 20 consequential Supreme Court cases to choose from, covering a wide range of issues. For example: use of Federal tax dollars in religious private schools, homeless ordinances, universal injunctions issued by lower courts, Federal regulation of “ghost guns”, Presidential immunity, hormonal treatment for trans minors, imposition of the death penalty, and many more.
